Sri Lanka Water Partnership Celebrates World Water Day 2011

The Sri Lanka Water Partnership is taking steps to celebrate World Water Day 2011 through numerous activities in the various areas in the island in line with this year’s theme for the day, “Water for Cities: Responding to the Urban Challenge”.

Conference on Water Security and Climate Change, Challange for South Asian Women - Held on 2nd February, 2011 at Hotel Galadari, Colombo.

A Voice for Water, A Voice for Women –a Conference on Water Security and Climate Change for South Asian Women was held at the Galadari Hotel Colombo recently. This was co-organised by NetWwater and Sri Lanka Water Partnership in collaboration with SaciWATERs , India , Women for Water Partnership, Netherlands , Womens Chamber of Industry and Commerce and International Water Management Institute (IWMI),Sri Lanka . Prof Mohan Munasinghe ,IPCC member and Nobel Prize recipient delivered the Keynote Address.
